Are you one to speak about yourself often? Do your actions consistently focus on self gain? Consider praying to be more humble, helping those in need, and having more of a servant's heart as we read Phillipians 2:3-11..... "Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men". ...
Want a real high in life? Are you struggling with drugs, alcohol, or another addiction that affects you and those around you? Where should you turn for strength? Take this minute to read the answer in Isaiah 40:28-31.
28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. It's a tough world we live in and there are times where stress from relationships, jobs, and other daily challenges can certainly put your life on hold. Here is a simple but great reminder where to reach out for real strength in 1 Peter 5:7....."Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you".
